Gathering High Quality Information |

Before you begin to coach or influence someone, an NLP performance coach will work with you to access that part of your nervous system that generates curiosity, by eliciting your Information Gathering Strategy . So what does this mean in practice? Imagine that you are meeting a client or colleague and you want to discover their wants and needs. Start by asking yourself “how do I gather information?” and ask your client or colleague these high quality questions: What do you want specifically, and when, where, with whom do you want it? What resources do you have to accomplish it (and are they in your control)? How will you know when you have what you want? What will you see, hear and feel and what will you look like and sound like? What will happen when you have what you want and what won't happen? What will happen if you don't have what you want and what won't happen? What do you have now that you wish to preserve? How do you know it's worth having? When, where, and with whom does not having it work for you? What will be the impact on your family, friends, job, business Etc? What will be different when you have what you want? Create a movie in your mind with a soundtrack of the information that you receive and now you are prepared to influence or coach your client or colleague to achieve more of what they need and want.
