"Only one of the instincts inhibits motion, namely fear." Moshe Feldenkrais.
Imagine that you have in front of you a beautiful, exquisitely bound book and written on the front as you gently turn the book over you see your name and your story is inscribed with those immortal words "This is your Life". You see a hand take the solid fountain pen and hear the scratch of the nib as blue marks appear in front of you and the notes on the page begin to tell a story of someone who became curious as to what is worth knowing, being and doing. The pen begins to tell a story of many events, people, places, times, plots and choices.
So take a pen and write down a story of what you know.
"I hear and forget, I see and remember. I do and understand." old chinese saying.
How much of what you know Is based on what you have been told, or what you have read or seen on TV or on what you have experienced directly? What do you believe most strongly? What don't you know?
So take a pen and write a story of who you are.
How much of who you are is based on what you have been told, or what you have read or seen on TV or on what you have defined for yourself, based on your own experience? Who do you want to be?
Imagine that you are going to influence somebody important sitting across the room from where you are sitting. How do you feel?
So you know what you know and who you are, you wrote the story, and yet sometimes you feel afraid.
How do you stop yourself from doing what you do. How do you stop inhibiting forward motion?
Well, imagine yourself walking across the room easily and effortlessly. Gliding easily, as easy as walking naturally and acting naturally.
Organise yourself to have this choice and go do it. Slowly begin to remember what you're like when you know what you know, be who you are and do what you do .
